Child A is a three year old child whom I care for, in my home daycare, full time. Every day he arrives just in time for breakfast. Before he commences to eat he places the palms of his hands against each other below his chin and begins to pray. Once he is done praying he begins to eat. With his right hand he grabs his spoon wrapping all fingers around it. His clenched fingers, pointing downward around the spoon, he scoops a tiny bit of food into it and brings it up and into his mouth. This process continues over and over until all items on his plate are finished. He then places his spoon on his plate and pushes it away. Next, he rubs both his hands onto his hair and then down on his shirt, as if his hair and shirt were his napkin.
