Should priests be one with the Roman Catholic church and be celibate, or should priests be allowed to marry? This debate is on the minds of many Catholics due to the recent troubles in the Catholic church. Also the leadership of the Catholic church has been tested, and the very history of the church is being rattled. The history of the Roman Catholic church dictates that priests take a vow of celibacy, but changes in society have caused some faithful Catholics to evaluate the pros and cons of this practice.
