September 11th, 2001 was a crisp fall day that began like any other, but ended with the most powerful nation in the world at its knees. A violent terrorist group called the al Qaida, headed by Osama bin Laden had destroyed the World Trade Center and part of the Pentagon, killing 3016 innocent Americans. Since that date, two years ago, a lot has changed in the United State’s government and overall attitude because of the attacks.
Perhaps one of the major changes in the American Government was the institution of a new department called Homeland Security.
