The annual rainfall of the Edwards Plateau is 15 - 33 inches. The area of the Edwards Plateau is thirty one thousand square miles. The most rainfall occurs in May, June and September. The Edwards Plateau region takes up an area of West Central Texas, known as the “hill country.”
On the east and south, it is bounded by the Balcones Fault. It reaches north to the Western Cross Timbers of the Oak Woods and Prairies region and goes into the Plains regions, another part of its border is the Llano Uplift region.
