Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find a significant relationship between instructional set and performance. A sample of 107 participants were used in conducting this study, 54 participants were tested on accuracy and 53 participants on speed. Participants were assigned to one of the two independent groups, either condition A and B, and had to throw 20 tennis balls into the bucket at 4ft and 8ft. Instructions, which emphasized speed, lead to faster time scores, while instructions that emphasize accuracy lead to higher hit scores. The current study shows a significant relationship between hits and time scores.
