In this paper I am going to talk about how race, class and gender affect the crime rates in the United States and in Ireland. I’ll talk about the different types of crimes that are prevalent in both countries, as well as who tends to be the ones committing those crimes. How ones class background affects the types of crimes that are committed. I’ll also speak of how whether you’re black or white, or male or female, how that will affect your chances of committing or being the victim of crime.
