The dispute over the character of Odysseus is between who is strong and who is weak, between who is cunning and who is dense, between what is right and what is wrong. When you think of Odysseus the first things that come to mind are bravery , competency, and intelligence. Some think of Odysseus as a heroic character who deserves the recognition he gets today, but there are others who believe he was a senseless man who was given inaccurate credit.
