Observations on Defense

Tuesday, September 16, I was able to attend a very educational informative speech. Mrs. Ann Osterhold from Action Seminars came to the Delta Zeta sorority house to inform the 2003 pledge class of the increasing risks of rape, murder, robbery, and stalkers threatening female college students. I found her speech to be very informative. It was especially relevant as a pledge class, coming from such sheltered backgrounds and not completely aware of all the imposing dangers that are possible in today’s society. Mrs. Osterhold’s speech was given extemporaneously, which really made her topic seem more personal and real. Her opening attention getter was very effective.
