Marcus Garvey is a great thinker. He developed a large movement of race pride and unity of the black community. His opinions reached everyone worldwide. Garvey would tell his listeners what they wanted to hear, that being black is nothing to be ashamed of. It is a symbol of greatness. When he spoke, negroes could for a moment forget about discrimination and the terrible lynching .He also wanted for all blacks to unite and go “Back to Africa” where blacks can have their own country, where they control everything and are not the minority. Garvey was thought of as the “Black Moses” because he was thought of as a leader to freedom.
