"Would you eat them with a mouse in a house?" I read a loud as I sat snuggled up against my Granny on her gray, over-stuffed armchair. My fondest memories of learning to read come from sitting with my mom or my Granny. When with my Granny, all we read were Dr. Seuss books; they were her favorites, so naturally I loved Dr. Seuss, also. With my mom we would sit for hours, while I sounded out the words so carefully not to mess up. I remember in the first grade having to bring home little booklets that held interesting stories within two or three pages and read them a loud to my mom.
