Here is a biography of Elton john, one of the greatest piano players, song writers, performers, and musicians of our time. Elton Hercules John was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in Pinner, England on March 25, 1947. His father, Stanley , was a squadron leader in the Royal Air Force. He met Sheila Eileen Harris during duty. They married in 1945. On March 25, 1947, their first and only son, Reginald, was born. Reggie had an interest in music from an early age. When he turned 6, he was given piano lessons, and some times gave performances at his parent's dinner parties.
