Parable of the foolish penguin
In the cold Antarctic ice barrier, a new layer of snow had just fallen onto the
already thick layer of snow. In a small igloo, a father tucks his son into his bison skined
sleeping bag. The boy tells his father that he had learned about birds in school that day.
He was curious to know why penguins were a flightless bird. The father knew why this
was so, because generation after generation the story was passed down. To answer his
son¡¯s question he began to tell the parable of the foolish penguin.
