This violet-eyed beauty was born in London, on February 27, 1932.Her father, Francis Taylor was an art dealer and mother, Sara, was an actress, but later gave it up when she married. At age ten, her family moved to Hollywood, where her captivating beauty would later be discovered. A family friend suggested that she would follow her mother’s footsteps, and take up the film industry. In 1941, she signed contract with Universal Pictures, but later decided to obtain a contract with MGM studios. Her first movie was, Lassie Come Home, after this role, offers for movies came from everyone. This is where her childhood ended and her profession began. Taylor later suggested that she wished she had a normal childhood like the rest of the world. S
