Directed by Alan Parker, this 1988 Drama film takes us back to the early 1960s to a small town in Southern America. We witness the crude discrimination of black people at the time, and the effects segregation of the races has on the town and the people involved. Two FBI agents are on the scene, investigating the murders of three black activists. The conflict in the movie is not limited to that of the black and white people, but also the differences between the young, 'by-the-book' agent and his partner who is familiar with the ways of small towns.
