At the end of the nineteenth century, two German engineers, Daimler and Benz, published their important findings on the use of fuel products to propel motor vehicles. These findings, together with the success of Henry Ford in the United States at the beginning of the next century, turned the automobile into a national means of transportation. Many families were able to acquire a car and fulfill the natural desire of people to move from place to place, to widen their horizons and to experience more adventures.
