The ongoing debate regarding the lottery is that it is the devil’s game. It is a game of chance and is very addictive. The consequences are wasting away much needed family budgets for a chance to win big, but despite the consequences the responsible adult knows when to quit. States should legalize the lottery to help allocate funds for state budget purposes. The lottery will not solve short term budget needs but will suffice the long term needs.
