Death Penalty: Why Not
|
Regarded by many as cruel and unusual punishment, the death penalty has been one of the most controversial subjects in America today. Issues of morality, personal rights, effects on community, and religion address and scrutinize the practice of capital punishment with every passing day. Abolition of this practice has been widely sought yielding little result, for which I am thankful. What are we supposed to do with the people who have slaughtered your father, raped your child and left them wrapped in plastic at the bottom of a lake, or struck terror into the hearts of the entire nation after leaving a school littered with the bodies of those who believed in God?
I ask you now, do your religious what-nots and why-fors stand to reason
