King Henry is upset over the dilema of not being able to sleep and expores the reason why he is being denied sleep. King Henry uses rhetorical question toward a personified sleep questioning why he is unable to sleep. Vivid pictures are described through imagery as the King describes awkward and foul places where sleep is given but in his vibrant, clean, royal room sleep has denied him rest. Words and phrases such as vile, and "O sleep! O sleeps!" as well as sentece variety covey his altering moods and he swings from frustration to confusion, and finally ending with understanding over his sleeplessness.
