I attended a workshop last week on the topic of livestock odours. Among other things, some ideas for reducing or managing odours from livestock operations were discussed, and I thought I would run over some of these today. If you have concerns about your operation as a source of nuisance odour, there are definitely some effective steps you could take to reduce the problem.
The two main approaches to managing odour from a facility should be obvious: first, reduce odour production in the first place, and second, enhance dispersion so that the intensity of the odour is reduced downwind from the facility.
