In Anselm’s Proslogion, the matters of faith and reason seem to be interrelated; meaning both are needed to prove his theory of the existence of God. His entire argument on the existence of God is based on the theory that one does not understand God in order to believe, but believes in order to understand. Basically, from faith comes reason, without faith, reason is useless.
In Proslogion 2, his argument is entangled in choice wording, and results in a sound argument, but makes validity questionable. He states that there is no one greater than God; therefore, acknowledging His existence means He indeed, is real. Also, Anselm provided the argument of something having so much power and control over so many, but is invisible, must exist
