The book that I have chosen to do my book review on is "Violence Against Women." Edited by Pauline B. Bart and Eileen Geil Moran. The book is a collection of articles taken from a special issue of "Gender and Society on Violence Against Women". The articles address the differing aspects of violence against women and how violence against women is interrelated regardless of the extent of the actual physical violence or the implied use of violence. The articles analyze acts of violence against women from obscene phone calls to serial killing. The articles also address how violence against women is culturally and structurally supported and institutionally reinforced in religions, medical institutions and social organizations in society.
