Style is something that everybody has, whether deliberately or not. One can have good style or bad style whilst many define their own style. It is this stage of ‘design your own’ that influences society. When we see people dressing in a certain way that appeals to us, we acknowledge it and most will attempt to recreate that look. This is most noticeable with pop-stars or other celebrities who define a very unique look. One example is Meg “Noel Gallagher” Matthews. She could (and would) wear rags and still pass off as stylish or chic. It is the celebrities who almost endorse a particular approach to style and fashion that encourage the rest of ‘us’ to be drawn into the consumerist affair.
