In “Eveline” James Joyce tells the story of a young girl who is forced to mature early and deal with the decision of following her heart and risking failure or choosing a mundane but comfortable existence. Even though Frank is something thrilling and gives Eveline the chance at a new exciting life, she chooses to stay in an abusive but familiar situation.
