Before reading this play by Shakespeare I didn’t see any comedy by him. I have only read Macbeth and As You like It. They are not that comedic. After reading this and seeing the humor expressed about the drunken’ Sir John Falstaff, Shakespeare sickens me. I see that all of his humor is not clean and nonharmful as I once thought. His so called penmanship and humorous wit is only based on horrible shots at people that need help.
Falstaff is a man that has a problem. He is an overweight individual that has a drinking problem. These two faults are ones that have serious repercussions on ones health and if untreated can cause a shortened life. Shakespeare takes these faults and makes fun of them. Misfortunes are not funny.
