Martin Luther was born on November 10, 1483, in the Thergian Mountains. Early in life his parents moved to Mansfield where his father worked in the mines. Martin was taught religion and strength of character from his parents. Unfortunately, the religious views of the day were harsh and not based on the Bible. He eventually fled his home because of the harsh punishments they dealt for the least of crimes.
