Every year thousands of people gather outside of courthouses, prisons, and capital buildings all over America to protest the death penalty. I believe the state of Tennessee should not abolish the death penalty, especially since the state rarely practices it.
The death penalty is is an important part of out judicial system and should be upheld just like any other punishment. It has been used for may decades, so why now should the thought of it being banished even come up. It is not cruel and unusual punishment, it is strictly enforcing the law.
