Gender Inequality Issues: Women In Combat

In this paper, I have explored the issue of gender, and I have chosen to investigate an issue that I think is still controversial today. I believe that women should be permitted to engage in active combat duty in the United States military. My position is based on three main premises which include the active duty of women in other countries, the physical ability of women, and the glass ceilings that women face in the military.
First, consider the basic facts about women in the U.S. military. Thirteen percent of the total U.S. Armed Forces are women (Willens). In the Navy, female officers are eligible to serve in all of the Navy's officer communities except in submarines and in the SEALS. In the Army, women cannot serve in the infantry,
