Growing up as a male I never thought about gender roles and how they affect our life. When I became older and my role in society became larger I started to realize that my being male gives me a big opportunity to succeed in my life. Then I asked myself if women have the same opportunity and the answer was “no”. That made me think of the cause for such an inequality between sexes. I came to the conclusion that our society established gender roles in such an order.
