Since arriving on the technology scene, cellular phones have won public acceptance more quickly than any other consumer electronic product in history. By the year 2001, industry analysts are predicting close to 90 million subscribers to the product. The present use of batteries to power cellular phones is an inefficient and uneconomical means and because of the significant number of users, the problem is amplified, considerably.
