Aladdin is a poor homeless man. He has nothing of money value. Instead his value lies in his friendship with his pet monkey Abu. Although, he has to steal food in order to survive, he is a man of great moral integrity. He sees people for who they are and not what they are. He is trustworthy, likeable, and a kind person who is willing to help anyone.
Aladdin desperately wants to marry Jasmine. The problem is that Jasmine is a princess and Aladdin would have to be a prince to even be considered by Jasmine.
