There was; To treat something as no value or importance, to act or speak frivolously, to play; toy, to idle, and anything made of little value or importance or a confection usually made with layers of macaroons or ladyfingers with sugared fruit covered with a custard and topped with meringue or whipped cream. Well, all of these definitions could really apply in some way to the play; however, most of all the definition that states anything of little value or importance.
