As children we go through life with a very naïve view of the world. We think that everything is perfect and we are ignorant to the many inhumanities and all the terrible tragedies that happen everyday. We are unaware that there are laws to follow, bills to pay, problems to fix, and wounds to heal. An argument can be made that in this case ignorance is a blessing. Lacking knowledge of certain things can definitely make our lives a little easier some times. However as we grow up we yearn to be educated, and we continually try to discover new things. In today's highly competitive society only the well educated individuals who demonstrate a level of knowledge in many different areas truly succeed.
