As I live a simple life, which involves limited contact with others, this assignment proved to be challenging. I work from home and thus the number interactions I am engaged in are limited to my roommates. After five days had gone by without any meaningful interactions, I decided to tackle this challenge from an alternative standpoint. The assignment entailed observing my surroundings through the employment of “race as my lens” and the only place that I could think of, which would involve a myriad of interactions was the mall.
