Snowboarding is more than just a single person activity, there are many social groups within snowboarding. My friends and I went snowboarding every weekend for three years, without noticing it, we were a social group that tied in with the culture of our local mountain. Our goal was to get better at snowboarding and have fun which we did but there was a lot of sociological factors going on that we had no idea about.
Within my small group of snowboarding friends the culture was based upon different values, norms and sociological statuses.
