Sydney Carton Vs. Charles Darnay

A Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens, was not just an enjoyable read, but a truly well- written novel. It was slower at the beginning, as most novels are, however the pace did pick up as the novel progressed. The main thing that captured my attention in this novel was the heroic characters of Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. While looking back at the story, although Darnay was a good person, heroic type character from start to finish, his character is not as well-written as Carton’s. By looking at the characters it is apparent that Sydney Carton is one of the most dynamic, while Carton does not exhibit that quality, he is just a typical hero.
