I have read the book A Dry White Season written by the South African author André Brink. Brink has written about something close to himself, life and events in his own country and as far I know this could very well be a true story. So, the story takes place in South Africa in the 1970’s, and the maincharacter of the book is a man by the name of Ben Du Toit. The person who in the beginning is telling the story, starts by telling us about the death of Mr Du Toit. He explains how he was asked by Ben shortly befor his death to store some of his belongings, papers and notes, all in one big mess, just in case something would ever happen to him.
