As citizens we should be aware of our rights in which to protect ourselves from the abuse of power from the authorities if accused of committing a crime. These rights are referred to as Miranda Rights, which states that during interrogation the accused has the right to remain silent and that an attorney be present during the questioning. During interrogation, due to the pressures that involve such a procedure, it is possible that a person may confess to a crime.
