In the play Macbeth, there is a noble man (Macbeth) who is influenced by the prophecies of the witches to commit regicide for his own power and gain. This is a tragedy which is controlled by the power of the three witches because they are the origin of all evil that takes place in Macbeth. The witches use their power to create total chaos in Scotland. They influence Macbeth’s drive and ambition towards kingship. They also give him predictions that will eventually lead to his downfall.
The witches supernatural powers are used to get rid of all moral order in Scotland. The witches call on evil to reverse everything that is good, to evil and everything that seemed to be evil, to good. The witches chant “Fair is foul
