The Zapatistas were a revolutionary, guerilla warfare-like group of Indians who stood up for their rights as citizens in Mexico. In the following paragraphs I will go into detail about their struggle and explain many of the facts and opinions that support my beliefs in the Zapatista's culture. All that was important to them was living on the land they owned. Then their government stole it and turned it over to an auction. I believe there should not be any type of price for the land they earned. I stand beside the Zapatista's beliefs and understand their conflict. I will also describe the facts and opinions that oppose my beliefs so you can get an understanding of both sides of the conflict.
