I am writing this comparison contrast paper on the poem Not There by a person with the alias Shoebowl and the song entitled Too Much to Ask for by Avril Lavigne. I picked this song and poem because I enjoyed them a lot. They are one of the many works of artists I have in a book of poems and songs I really enjoy reading and want to remember.
There are similarities between this poem and this song, however there are a few. The main similarities are thematic. The main similarity is that the theme can be read in a sense that it seems that the author of the piece losing someone because of a change in that person. They also have some indication of a mirror depending how the reader looks at it. The mirror reference in Too Much to Ask
