Are Airlines Putting Security On Autopilot?
Being one of the largest cities in the United States the streets of New York City were crowded with people on the morning of September 11, 2001. Those who were still sound asleep were violently awoken by the noise and terror. This terror was a result of aircrafts colliding into the World Trade Centers. That day local newspaper headlines read “Terrorists hijack, crash jetliners; thousands feared dead” (Fresno Bee). “Hijacked airplanes destroy towers at Trade Center,” (Denver Post) read The Denver Post. The world would have never expected such a chilling and evil attack to ever be carried out on American soil. Unfortunately, these headlines were real and so was the breaking story behind it.
