Throughout history, it has been apparent that our various societies and cultures have clearly looked upon the wealthy as glamorous, powerful, and respectable figures, while viewing the lower classes as little more than the creatures of labor under them. With the rich, their wealth helped them progress within society and allowed for a certain “course of action(s)” (namely, being able to bend he rules of justice at will, because of their stature) which were conveyed as excusable in their terms, but could be damnable if someone of a lower stature were to commit the same crime.
