In August 2000, a recent poll by USA Today, CNN, and Gallup showed that 34% of Americans supported the legalization of marijuana and 70% of voters support medical marijuana. The year 2000 has be the largest support of marijuana since 1969, yet marijuana still remains illegal and only four states support the use of medical marijuana.
