Actions can show a persons true character. Whether it is a random act of kindness or a horrific act of cruelty, the things one does shows who they really are. In William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Macbeth chose murder to get to the top. But why murder? Why not any other way? It wasn’t because he was cruel, and angry. It wasn’t because he was powerful and vengeful. It was because he was weak, insecure, a coward, and naive. He thought it was the only way, and he panicked when he heard the prophecies. Macbeth was not a true leader, but he was a true follower. He relied on other people to tell him what to do, and to do things for him.
