Interpretaion of the movie The Thin Red Line

The tropical islands in The Thin Red Line are very similar and to my opinion closely related to the Garden of Eden or ideal paradise. The islands in the movie reveal a scene of serenity, peace, and tranquility. They seem to be one of a kind much like the Garden of Eden.
