Adam Duritz, the lead singer and founder of the Counting Crows and author of Goodnight Elisabeth, was born on August first, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland. The particular song I chose, Goodnight Elisabeth, is from the album “Recovering the Satellites,” their second album, which was followed by “August and Everything After,” released in September of 1993. This album included hits Round Here, Mr. Jones, Sullivan Street, and Perfect Blue Buildings. Recovering the Satellites included hits Goodnight Elisabeth, Recovering the Satellites, A Long December, and Angels of the Silences.
