Through approximately the same time period, 1789-1825, two revolutions were taking place on the continent of Europe. Directly across the English Channel from each other, the countries of France and England were undergoing internal changes. In Britain, this time period is considered as the English Industrial Revolution while in France, the revolution is conveniently referred to as the French Revolution. While the Revolutions in Britain and France differed in some ways, they both had many similarities as well.
