Curiosity is the desire for knowledge- to evolve and learn from one’s environment and life. In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, the main character, Guy Montag, retains a burning desire for knowledge, and his persistent curiosity about his world and life often challenge his beliefs, and leave him changed forever. Throughout the novel, Montag’s unquenchable thirst for knowledge progresses, evolving from a personal desire, to an altruistic utopian ideal, and finally, freedom from his ignorance.
