Michelangelo Buonarroti, we know him as plain old Michelangelo, was born on March 6, 1475. He grew up in the small of Caprese, which is located near Florence, Italy. His father, whose name is Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, was a composed and easygoing man who had an assortment of poorly paid governmental jobs, but none of them ever lasted for very long.
