Socraties: Guilty or Innocent
|
Socrates is a man true to his word. You will never seem him preach one thing, and then have his own actions go against what he said. Every lesson he attempts to instruct to his listeners you will also seem him following. During his trial to save his own life is no different; Socrates is not about to give up everything he believes in order to save his life. Thus, throughout the trial it appears occasionally that he is not even trying to save his life. The Apology is a speech in which has much strategy, proves his point that he is innocent (although he is still found guilty), and lets him still stick by the morals he has lived to preach.
Throughout the trial, not once does Socrates try to change his ways in order to save his life.
